Recipes for Heavenly Organics Cow-Friendly Sweetened Condensed Milk

Heavenly Organics No Bake Cheesecake

Ingredients

1 prepared graham cracker crust
1  14 oz. can Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk
2   3 oz. packages of cream cheese
Dash Salt
½ cup Heavenly Organic Sugar
Juice of one fresh lemon

1 Tbsp of fresh lime juice
1 quart fresh strawberries

1 Tbsp of Heavenly Organics Honey

Fruit topping:  1 quart fresh strawberries, 1 Tbsp Heavenly Organics Honey, 1 Tbsp fresh lime, and 1 Tbsp fresh lemon

Directions

Using a mixer, blend first six ingredients.  Transfer to pie crust and chill overnight in the refrigerator.

Wash and stem and slice strawberries.  Add last three ingredients.  Marinate one hour before serving, in a glass dish, covered at room temperature.

Garnish slices of chilled cheesecake with fresh fruit topping and enjoy. 

Heavenly Organics Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

2 14 oz. cans of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp almond extract

3 cups of whole unhomogenized organic milk or substitute

Directions

In a double boiler, bring two cans of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk and fresh milk to a simmer, whisking constantly to blend. Sprinkle in two cups of sugar and add vanilla and almond extracts. Stirring or whisking constantly, bring mixture to a boil. Color will darken and when the caramel color and flavor are satisfactory, remove from heat and use as a sauce or garnish while warm. This sauce will set and can be used for confections, cake frosting, or a topping for a cheesecake like the one above, after it has been chilled.

Heavenly Organics Cashew Butter Caramel Candy

Ingredients

2 14 oz. cans of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp almond extract
3 cups of whole unhomogenized organic milk or substitute

2 cups of cashew butter (almond butter, dried fruit, or even cocoa powder can be added to vary flavor)

Directions

In a double boiler, bring two cans of Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk and fresh milk to a simmer, whisking constantly to blend.  When blended, add cashew butter.   Sprinkle in two cups of sugar and add vanilla and almond extracts.  Stirring or whisking constantly, bring mixture to a boil.  Color will darken and when the caramel color and flavor are satisfactory, remove from heat and use as a sauce or garnish while warm.  This sauce will set and can be used for confections, cake frosting, or a topping for a cheesecake like the one above, after it has been chilled.

Heavenly Organics Coconut Macaroons

Ingredients

1 14 oz. Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 12 oz package of flaked coconut
1 Tbsp each of vanilla and almond extracts

Baking cups if desired

Directions

Preheat oven to 300.  After blending all the above ingredients, place by spoonfuls two inches apart on prepared baking sheets (oiled and floured).  Bake on center rack until slightly crunchy and golden brown, waiting one minute after browning has started to take out of the oven.  Serve with a drop of caramel sauce, a piece of marzipan, or a drop of melted chocolate on each macaroon, after immediately after taking out of the oven and returning to the oven for 30 seconds. Place in baking cups to serve, or use a dessert tray.  Refrigerate overnight or for up to three days in a covered dish to serve the following afternoon, and let stand to room temperature to serve for full flavor.

Heavenly Organic Fresh Apple Crisp

Ingredients

4 large whole apples, cored and peeled
½ cup Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup of walnuts
1 cup of Heavenly Organics Sugar
1/2 cup of softened butter, preferably salt free
1 cup of Cake flour, or whole wheat flour, or chapatti flour
2 Tbsp of organic cocoa powder

1 cup of Heavenly Organics Sugar, plus 2 Tbsp for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 300.  In a glass pie plate, slice the apples paper thin.   Cover with one cup of hot water.  Blend walnuts to a fine powder.  Combine walnuts in a bowl with flour and Heavenly Organics Sugar, and with a fork blend in flour, and mash in butter.  Spread mixture evenly over fruit, and lace edges of the pie plate with the Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk.  Dust the top of the crumble with Heavenly Organics Sugar for dusting and a sprinkle of organic cocoa powder.  Place on center rack in oven covered with a sheet of aluminum foil to protect the milk from overbrowning.  Let bake one hour or longer until caramel ahs bubbled and the pie is fork tender.  Can be garnished with caramel sauce, fresh whipping cream, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce, or is good served alone as well.  The pie will taste best when warm and the flavors have just congealed with the caramel sauce.

Heavenly Organics Glazed Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

4 fresh pineapple rings, cored and peeled
4 Tbsp oil or butter
4 Tbsp Heavenly Organics Sugar
4 Tbsp Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk

Fresh cherries, cocoa powder, or whipped cream

Directions

In a heavy saucepan, using a low to medium setting, melt or warm oil or butter and add sugar, mixing with a wooden spoon until sugar has dissolved completely.  Gently place pineapple rings in the pan, constantly moving with a wooden spoon, without breaking the rings, until they are coated (you can do one ring at a time if you can serve immediately after depanning; they are best served right from the pan).  Add the Heavenly Organics Sweetened Condensed Milk and continue stirring until the rings are coated and the milk has a caramel color, stopping the process when your preference for the color has been satisfied, being very careful not to burn or scorch the milk.  Serve immediately and top each ring with fresh cherries if desired, or with whipped cream dusted with cocoa powder.

Heavenly Organics Apple Rice Pudding

Ingredients

2 cups of uncooked Heavenly Organics Basmati Rice
2 large apples, peeled and grated
5 Tbsp of raisins, chopped fine
1 Tbsp of ginger powder
1 Tbsp of cinnamon
1 14 oz. can of Heavenly Organic Sweetened Condensed Milk

Ice cream, caramel sauce or pecans for garnish if desired.

Directions

In a heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook as per directions on rice package.  Serve immediately when done cooking.  Serves four.  Can be garnished with ice cream, caramel sauce as above, and with copped pecans if desired.
